Lucy Komisar is an investigative journalist covering international affairs, especially offshore banking and corporate secrecy. She needed a distinctive website to publish her scoops that would reflect the importance of the material but still have the one-reporter-on-her-own attitude.
I created a highly customized WordPress template that lets her precisely control the display of all content. A significant challenge was the separation of her home page - the goal was to put her scoop stories, theater reviews, travel stories, and blog into different parts of her site. All parts of the site are adjustable through the WordPress admin panel, from the top navigation bar for information pages to the text boxes of static information on the left of the front page.
We worked together start to finish: through several design choice iterations, WordPress templating, and setting up custom functionality such as a mailing list and Google advertising.
