I created this site for my high school journalism class. The site features breaking news about Albany High School, as well as articles from the print edition of the school newspaper, The Cougar.
One of the main goals of the project was to allow the whole class to update the website, not just me. I set up the whole thing on a customized version of Wordpress, an extremely flexible, open-source (free!) piece of software for publishing information on the web. The entire site is manageable via the web, and editing it requires no coding knowledge.
Among other features, the site has RSS feeds, a liquid (stretchable) layout, article comments, and an easy way to manage advertising.
